Messaging & Strategy
Messaging & strategy is the foundation of your business marketing. In a series of 2-3 zoom calls, we will nail down the messaging framework that you'll use throughout your website and other marketing materials. This will also help layout the plan for your site.
I start every project here because without a great plan your website will not be useful to your customers. If your customers don't understand what you do and how to buy it quickly they will leave.
During the first call we will go through the StoryBrand framework. This is a 7-step process that we go through to understand your customer and how you can help them. At the second call, we will look at your current site and work through the site-map together - now knowing what your customer might be expecting. The third call will be to show you the homepage wireframe I've created alongside our conversations and discuss all the pieces we have put together. This is a great collaboration session where we get things just right before heading into design.
At this point I send over a proposal for the remainder of the site (Design) after the wireframe is approved.
The cost of the website design includes up to 10 pages. More than 10 pages and/or more complicated development will be at an additional cost. We build all our websites in WordPress and use a plugin call Thrive Themes. At the completion of your project we also include training on how to make simple edits on your own website. (I promise you won't need to know any code to do this!)
We pay for an agency license to use Thrive Themes on your website. If you host with us this is included. If you do not host with us there is a small yearly fee of $40 a year to keep this plugin up-to-date.
$2,500 - $5,000
The writing phase has many variables to it. The more you put into it the more likely you're able to rank better and look more polished in front of your customers.
If you would like to do your own copywriting you can absolutely choose not to add this step. We can always take what you have and you can edit it later.
Website hosting includes the security, backups, email and software updates you need so that you can rest knowing I got your back. If something breaks, I'm here to fix it. Your domain and website remain yours, but I bring it into my managed environment so I can keep an eye on things for you. If you do this option, we include your Thrive Themes package in the cost. This is the marketing toolset I use to build websites.
I don't give a full quote until after the messaging & strategy sessions on purpose
Over the years I have found that just agreeing to design your website isn't enough. It isn't fair to you and quite frankly may make you upset with me that 'it's not working'. A website should be another sales tool for your business. I want to do my do diligence for you-for your company and give you everything you need to succeed.
